I use the software that came with the printer, which can also be accessed from the program that came with my Digital Rebel XT, which allows me to select the type of paper, the size, and how I want to crop the photo. What I did was adjust based on my laptop screen (since I can't adjust the monitor) and after about 4 test shots I got it to match. There you can adjust the color balance, contrast, brightness. Then I pressed the SET button that reveals the adjustment options. Regarding the color adjustments, if you go to the printer properties, there is an option for COLOR/INTESITY and I have set to MANUAL.

I'm using both the Photo Plus Glossy and the Semi Gloss. Regarding the paper - I'm using the Canon paper. I wouls like to have prints from my printer that match my screen as well. My monitor is calabrated and the prints I get from MPIX match my monitor.

It appears that the color balance is off but I have not found a way to correct it. I have tried several different types of paper and profiles, but have not have good prints. My prints seem to have a little bit of green tint to them. What paper and settings are you using? I too just bought this printer and I'm having trouble getting good prints. I was searching for a good photo printer, but I didn't want to spend too much money on it.
